Lion King composer and music producer, Lebohang Mokale known as Lebo M will join other global music stars to perform at Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee concert.
The South African legendary composer, 57, will join Elton John, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Queen, Adam Lambert, Nile Rodgers and Andrea Bocelli as the musicians to perform at the event.
The show which will have some of the world’s biggest A-listers at the Buckingham Palace is part of a four-day celebration of Queen Elizabeth’s 70th year on the British throne. She’s the first to achieve the feat in history.
Lebo M and others will have their performances at the event titled Platinum Party in the Park broadcast live across the globe. Other notable stars will also feature including football mega superstar, David Beckham.
“We are proud and honoured to be part of this historical event celebrating the HRH Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee with the crème de la crème of the world in the music industry,” Lebo M said.
“My performance will include predominantly black cast members of the Lion king Broadway London, which again speaks to what I always say to the youth seeking guidance, that in order for one to be an international success, one needs to be authentic to oneself and that will project your craft accordingly and that is what the world is looking for authenticity.”
