Mike Enahoro-Ebah, a witness of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku has alleged that President Bola Tinubu presented himself as a female when applying for admission at Chicago State University, USA.
The PDP subpoenaed Enahoro-Ebah to the Presidential Election Petitions Court, where he stated that Tinubu used the name ‘Bola Adekunle Tinubu’ and identified as female in a transcript from South West College in the USA in 1977.
The PDP provided certified copies of a notarised judgement from a US court, which mentioned the forfeiture of $460,000 and a Guinean passport in Tinubu’s name. The five-member panel of justices, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, admitted these pieces of evidence despite objections raised by the counsel representing INEC, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN); Tinubu’s counsel, Emmanuel Ukala (SAN); and the APC’s counsel, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).
During cross-examination by the INEC’s counsel, the witness refuted spending a significant amount of money to pursue the case against Tinubu, stating that his lawyer partner in the US obtained the documents free of charge. The witness acknowledged feeling disappointed when his candidate lost the presidential election on February 25.
