South African singer, Sho Madjozi is scheduled to perform at the Super Bowl LIV convert in Miami this weekend. She would be performing alongside Black Eyed Peas, Halsey and Diplo at one of the biggest sporting weekends in America.
Speaking about the event, Sho Madjozi says “It is a great privilege to be invited to show the world’s creatives the vibrancy of Africa’s artistic expressiveness.
“It’s a specific originality born from a rich heritage that is multi-cultural, diverse and has urban relevance and I am so excited to seize this moment to share our stories.”
The three-day concert kicking off today, January 31, however, forced Sho Madjozi to cancel her scheduled performance at Ricky Rick’s Cotton Fest.
In a brief interview with Sowetan, Ricky says “We are super excited for our sister Sho Madjozi.
“She continues to fly the SA flag high and pave the way for so many other young people. She stands for everything positive in the culture.”
“I hope to catch her Super Bowl performance live this weekend,” he continues.
Also performing at the BUDX Miami concert are Songbird Moonchild Sanelly and Karabo “Poppy” Moletsane, the gifted artist and graphic designer who collaborated with Nike in 2019.
