Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack was born 2 October 1989 and popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz. He is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, actor, dancer, philanthropist and a businessman from Tandale, Dar es Salaam. He is the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label also a TV Station titled Wasafi Tv & a radio station titled Wasafi Fm. and has had several hit songs including “Number One” featuring Nigerian artist Davido. Diamond won numerous awards at Channel O, MTV Awards, Soundcity, Kilimnjaro Music Awards, Headies, Afrima, Afrimma, Kora, AEA, the HiPipo Music Awards and more.
Diamond Platnumz is considered influential among his fans, and is said to be the most loved and decorated artiste in East and Central Africa at the moment. He was believed to be the highest selling Tanzanian artist of ringtones by mobile phone companies in 2013 as well as being among the artists earning the highest income in the African Great Lakes region’s music industry.
Diamond is a Muslim. In 2010, he endorsed Tanzania’s dominant ruling party, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and its presidential candidate, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete. He also recorded a remix of his single “Mbagala”, titled “CCM Tusonge Mbele” (“CCM Let’s Move Forward”).
Diamond is jointly managed by Sallam Ahmed Sharaff (Sallam SK) a.k.a Don Mendez, Hamisi Shaban Taletale(Babu Tale) and Saidi Hassan Mlinge (Mkubwa Fella) from the Tanzanian music industry.
On 23 January 2019, Diamond Platnumz, was officially introduced as Pepsi Brand Ambassador in East Africa. The Pepsi Management in Tanzania, unveiled Diamond Platnumz as the entrusted individual to promote their brand within East Africa and increase sales.
On 13 September 2019, Diamond platnumz started working officially with Parimatch Africa as their Brand Ambassador
On 25 September 2019, Diamond was named the Nice One Brand Ambassador.
On 4 March 2020, Diamond Platnumz was unveiled as the new Brand Ambassador of Coral Paints (Tanzania)
With his former partner, South African based Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan, he has two children. He had his third child with the model Hamisa Mobeto. As of 2019 Diamond is dating Kenyan model and musician Tanasha Donna, with whom they have one son, Naseeb Jr., born 2 October 2019. The two have since separated with Tanasha Donna flying back to her home country, Kenya. Diamond is the younger brother to Tanzanian socialite celeb who also does a DJ work with him, Romeo Abdul Jones alias Rommy Jones. He also has two blood related sisters, one who is a musician known from her stage name Queen Darleen and Esma Platinumz.
Diamond Platnumz released his debut album Kamwambie in 2010, with a total of 12 songs.
Diamond Platnumz released his second album Lala Salama in 2012, with a total of 10 songs. On 14 March 2018, Diamond Platnumz released his third album in Kenya: A Boy from Tandale.
In 2019, he featured in several songs including “My Way Remix” by Stanley Enow, “Yope” Remix by Innoss’B, ″Moto″Wawa Salegy, and “Penzi” by Ya Levis.
Most of Diamond Platnumz’ songs have been said by many to be the most popular ever from any Tanzanian music artist.
