    Afrobeats Superstar Asake Drops First Single of 2024 ‘Only Me’

    Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has dropped a new single titled ‘Only Me’, his first release of the year.

    Asake released the song on the occasion of his birthday on January 13.

     ‘Only Me’ is a rhythmic beat projecting self-discovery and unapologetic pride in personal achievements.

    His seamless signature is evident in the way he infuses a varying spectrum of beats into his easily melodious songs.

    ‘Only Me’ was produced by BlaiseBeatz. Two years ago, he inked a deal with YBNL Nation. In the same February of 2022, he released his debut extended play, Ololade, featuring his breakthrough song ‘Omo Ope’ and Olamide and the single ‘Sungba.’

    Asake has clinched several laurels and recognitions for his talent, receiving a Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance’ category for ‘Amapiano’, his hit song with Olamide, the rapper. Last year, he won the prize for music at the 2023 Future Awards.
