Nigerian Military Neutralise Terrorists Kingpin Alhaji Shanono in Kaduna (News Central TV)

News Central have gathered that the Nigerian Military have neutralised notorious terrorists kingpin Alhaji Shanono alongside 20 other fighters in military airstrikes during a meeting around Ukambo, a village in Kaduna, Northwest Nigeria.

Sources say that not less than 30 rifles and 20 motorcycles were destroyd during the offensive onslaught.

The troops also rescued 26 kidnapped victims in the den of the assailants.

“Indeed, following receipt of intelligence on 9 August 2022 that a well-known terrorists’ kingpin, Alhaji Shanono, had scheduled a meeting with his foot soldiers at Ukambo, a village about 131 km from Kaduna, the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch dispatched aircraft for interdiction mission at the location,” NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet said in a statement.

“Overhead the location, terrorists were sighted under clusters of trees at the foot of Ukambo high ground and after ensuring the absence of civilian settlements within the location, the crew received the authorization to strike.

“Feedback from local sources disclosed that over 30 rifles and 20 motorbikes were destroyed while about 18 terrorists, including Alhaji Shanono, were neutralized while others sustained various degrees of injuries. Sources also revealed that not less than 26 kidnapped victims earlier held by the terrorists were released as a result of the airstrike.”

Recall, News Central reported that the Nigerian Military eliminated another notorious terror-gang leader in Zamfara Abdulkarimu Faca-Faca.

The kingpin was killed alongside his wife and other top terrorists commanders in his ancestral home in Safana LGA of Katsina.

He was one of the most brutal terrorists who carried out attacks in the Zamfara state neighborhoods of Safana, Batsari, and Danmusa.
