American actress Angelina Jolie did not initially choose acting as her career, despite her impressive performances in films and on stage.
Prior to pursuing acting, the Golden Globe, Oscar, and Tony Award winner trained to become a funeral director, she disclosed on Thursday’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
In response to the query, “Why? “Doesn’t it make sense though?” Jolie joked in response to Fallon’s query, “How?” before taking the subject more seriously.
When my grandfather passed away, I recalled thinking they shouldn’t be like this. “This should be a celebration of life,” and since I’m not scared of death and I was at ease with it, I thought this would be a great career path for me,” she says.
“I could, like, improve this.” “I could do something here,” she continued, before joking that it was her backup career.
After thereafter, the 49-year-old addressed more rumours regarding her previous professions.
When asked if it’s true that she thought about becoming a pilot, Jolie replied, “Yes, I am a pilot.” It has been reported that Jolie obtained her pilot’s license in 2004.
Her son, Maddox, she claimed, was now a pilot as well.
“That is a no,” Jolie said, strongly refuting reports that she had thought about performing stand-up comedy.
“I could handle a funeral.” “What you do terrifies,” she said, pointing to Fallon, “but no, I could handle it with 10,000 feet in the air.
Jolie’s most recent movie, the biography “Maria,” required her to take vocal training for months to play the role of renowned opera singer “Maria Callas.”
Jolie claimed on the “Tonight” programme that she had never sung before and that she was “quite certain” it was one of her inabilities. “I am not a singer.”
She claimed that she needed to practice singing and that she had a “great plan” before filming to help her feel less anxious.
“I know what I’ll do,” I thought. It will be a fun, sort of movie-opening present, I’ll say. “I’ll just buy earplugs for everyone,” she stated before acknowledging, “but I didn’t, I had to sing.”
