Egypt’s foremost Biomedical company, BIOTECH plans to begin a robotic devices assembly in Egypt in the second half of 2021.  According to the company’s Director Sherif Khattab, Biotechnology for Medical Engineering Company (BIOTECH) will bring together robots that could be deployed in airports, hospitals, malls, metro stations, and public spaces for disinfection and sterilisation purposes

Regionally, last week, Uganda Airlines announced resumption of direct flights from Uganda to Mombasa. The flights, which resumed on December 4, have also lifted prospects of business between the two countries. The flights are scheduled for three frequencies weekly, on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The loan is Rwanda’s first one through the International Finance Corporation’s global $8 billion Covid-19 facility launched in March 2020 to help businesses maintain operations during and after the coronavirus pandemic.

In total, twelve candidates will vie for the presidency. For the first time in Ghana’s electoral history, voters can choose between a sitting and a former president.
