Fans of Ayra Starr in Kenya had the time of their lives at the maiden edition of the Shoke Shoke festival in Nairobi over the weekend. The inaugural event was even attended by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja and Member of Parliament Jalang’o, Kenya’s leaders who even took to the stage to greet the crowd who gathered from all across the country.
Mavin record’s Sabi Girl, Ayra Starr headlined the festival and even brought on stage fellow Mavin record signee, Bayanni. The ‘19 and Dangerous’ songstress performed her mega hit song ‘Rush’ to the excited crowd. Bayanni on the other hand gave a stellar performance of his smash hit ‘Ta Ta Ta’. The two Nigerian stars showed the crowd a great time.
Attendees were thrilled to more performances from some of their faves; The Only Rosa, Boutross Munene, Mejja, and Khaligraph Jones. There was even a surprise performance from Gengestone star, Lil Ma, with his hit song ‘Kish’.
To the surprise of many, both Kenyan leaders Nairobi’s Governor Johnson Sakaja and MP Jalang’o also performed on stage. Seeing as they were once musicians before taking office roles, they each wowed the crowd with a flawless freestyle.
