Award-winning novelist, Chimamanda Adichie has been honoured by her Abba Anambra hometown with chieftaincy title of Odeluwa Abba “the writer of global acclaim.”
The Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
Only recently in October, Adichie received the W.E.B. Du Bois Medal, the highest honour of Harvard University, USA, which is awarded to individuals in the country and across the globe ‘in recognition of their contributions to African and American cultures and life of the mind’.
