Portugal captain, Cristiano Ronaldo is seriously contemplating extending his contract with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese star, already contracted for another season, is considering an extension until June 2026, potentially playing over the age of 41.

According to reliable media reports, Ronaldo is seriously considering prolonging his stay with Al Nassr, with negotiations already underway.

However, various factors will decide this potential extension, including negotiating television rights for the Saudi championship. Despite his age, Ronaldo remains a significant draw, attracting domestic and international attention.

Since he arrived in Saudi Arabia, he has proven to be a major success. He has amassed a staggering 62 goals in 66 appearances, with 47 goals in just 44 league matches. His presence has attracted several European stars like Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane and Riyad Mahrez to join the league.

However, at 39, questions arise regarding his long-term fitness. By the time his current contract expires in 2025, he will be 41, making an additional year a significant commitment.

Ronaldo’s impact on the pitch this season has been remarkable. With 48 goals and 12 assists in over 40 appearances, his contributions have been instrumental in Al Nassr’s quest for silverware. The team hopes to secure the only trophy available this season.

The Portuguese icon signed a highly lucrative contract with Al Nassr in 2022, reportedly worth almost €200million per year. This deal is set to expire in 2025, but there are suggestions that Ronaldo could stay on for an additional year.

The news of a possible contract extension for Ronaldo has sparked a wave of excitement among fans and pundits alike, adding another layer of anticipation to his tenure at Al Nassr.
