With over a thousand lives lost and more than a million people displaced, Cyclone Freddy’s devastating impact has left a trail of destruction and loss in Malawi, Mozambique, and Madagascar.
The cyclone brought an unprecedented amount of rainfall, equivalent to six months’ worth, to southern Malawi in just six days, resulting in catastrophic floods and mudslides that caused extensive damage to homes, roads, and bridges.
