Tanzanian bongo flava artiste Naseeb Abdul Juma, popularly known as Diamond Platnumz has finally regained control of his YouTube account.
Diamond is the most popular African artist on YouTube with over 6.5 million subscribers and 742 videos. The composer had been riled after his YouTube was suspended Sunday for violating community standards.
Kim Kayndo, WCB Wasafi’s head of digital department, notified the public on Sunday that three artistes’ YouTube channels, all from Wasafi record label, had been hacked and Platnumz’ account deactivated after hackers violated YouTube community guidelines.
According to his management team, scammers hacked into his account, altered his name to ‘Tesla Live’, and began broadcasting content that violated community standards, leading to the suspension.
Diamond wrote on Instagram hours after he regained control of the channel:
“Thank you my beloved… my YouTube channel is back, enjoy my brand new video #WONDER.”
The hackers believed to be bitcoin scammers known as ‘ARK Invest also hacked Rayvanny, Next Level President, Chibu Dangote,and Mbosso.
