    DSS Detain Chairman of Nigeria’s Anti-Graft Agency

    The Department of State Services (DSS) in Nigeria has detained the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa.

    Bawa arrived the headquarters of DSS at about 9:02pm, Wednesday, a source confirmed, adding that he’s currently being drilled by the operatives of the secret police.

    Confirming the development, spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunanya said it is true and that the public will be adequately briefed in due course.

    Bawa’s suspension follows ‘weighty allegations’ of abuse of office levelled against him.
