International award-winning Egyptian film director, writer, and producer Amr Salama will serve as a Juror in the international Emmy Awards Competition 2023.
Speaking on his participation, Salama said: “I am excited to announce that I participated as a Juror for this year’s International Emmy Awards Competition. It’s an honor to contribute to selecting the best in television programming from around the world.”
The much-anticipated short film 60 POUNDS, which is written and directed by Amr Salama, will be opening for the sixth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) — running from October 13- 20 and is the first ever short film in history to open an Arab film festival.
The short film is a teamwork between multi-talented director Salama and up-and-coming Egyptian rapper ZIAD ZAZA in his first acting role. It will be competing in the GFF’s short film contest, where it’s set to have its world premiere.
