Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Beijing, China, Tuesday ahead of the inaugural session of the 10th ministerial meeting of the China–Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) on May 30.
President al-Sisi arrived in the Asian country at the request of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. President Sisi is scheduled to hold talks with Xi and a key senior official in China on means of boosting bilateral cooperation.
The visit coincides with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between both countries.
Founded in 2004, the forum serves as a formal dialogue initiative between China and the Arab League to discuss the primary multilateral coordination mechanism between the world’s second-largest economy and the Arab states.
He will also deliberate with Chinese officials on regional and international matters of mutual concern, atop of which is the war on Gaza.
During his visit, Sisi will also meet with representatives of some giant Chinese corporations to review investment opportunities in Egypt.
