Five people have died after a bus transporting employees of a Kenyan Company, flower farm on Monday, May 22, 2023 crashed into a ditch.
The tragic incident happened at approximately 1 kilometre away from Isinya town when the bus, en route to the workplace, veered out of control and overturned at around 7:30 am.
An eyewitness recounted the harrowing event, stating that the bus skidded off the road after losing control.
“I observed a number of occupants jumping out of the window after the bus had rolled and settled,” Mutiso stated.
Further reports indicated that the ill-fated bus, which was traveling towards Kiserian, experienced brake failure, resulting in the tragic incident.
Workers from the flower farm who were initially trapped in the wreck have been rescued by members of the public.
