General Overseer and Pastor Abducted in Yola, Adamawa State

Gunmen have kidnapped a General Overseer and one other pastor from their residence in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State.

According to sources close to the victims, Rev Mike Ochigbo, the General Overseer of Freedom Power Chapel, was abducted along with another pastor from the church named John Moses. The incident took place at Rev Ochigbo’s residence in the Nyibango area of Yola, where the gunmen attacked them before whisking them away.

SP Suleimam Nguroje, the spokesman for the Adamawa Police, confirmed the incident. He stated that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Afolabi Babatola, has deployed operatives from relevant departments in the Command to search all hideouts across the state. The aim is to apprehend the abductors and secure the release of the victims.

Nguroje emphasized that the police operatives will conduct tactical operations day and night in criminal hideouts and black spots throughout the state in order to rescue the abducted individuals.
