Energetic Nigerian singer, dancer, and author Korra Obidi has said she is open to marrying any gender if she ever decides to give marriage a chance again.
Korra stated that love has no gender, and she would settle for anyone who complements her.
“I am in my early 30s. I am going to have a long time to choose. I am so open right now that I could even marry any sex.
“I don’t want to break any tables but I am open. I am open-minded. I am open to love. Love is a beautiful thing, and love has no gender.
“I know that this is a huge topic in Nigeria. [People will be] like “Oh my God, she’s now into this ehn?”
“Love has no gender,” she said.
Speaking on News Central TV’s Jasiri on Tuesday, January 30, the talented dancer and author of “Korra is Live”, made startling revelations about her life, craft, and what led to the dissolution of her marriage.
Korra who has featured in TV series Another Ordinary Day; The Flatmates; Lumba Boys alongside Francis Duru; and movie Saro, the musical said she came out clean about her infidelity because she couldn’t live with the burden of living with such a dark secret.
Her words:
“Thinking about the whole thing now, if I hadn’t said what I said. If I hadn’t come through with my truth, it wouldn’t have brought the whole truth to life.
“As you saw in the blogs, I admitted to that [cheating], and he [former husband] admitted to a lot of things. So it is like we were both doing these things, and we would have been living a lie to please the public. How long can you do that?
“So I will never regret saying “Hey, before I came to America I was having commitment issues… So, I dabbled, as you know in my book. I admitted to it openly.
“A lot of people insulted my destiny for it. But at the end of the day, I will never live with secrets. They [secrets] kill.
“In fact, I am so secretless [sic] right now that a lot of people are like “gosh Korra you’re too blunt… Too honest…” But that is how I have chosen to live because I have seen the other side and I am not interested.”
