Nigeria’s Federal government has condemned the spate of vandalism on public infrastructure because such do not support the efforts of government.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, said over N3.8 billion is being used to repair four bridges damaged by vandals and petrol-laden tankers.

This was at a town hall meeting in Abuja the nation’s capital, where Ministers and representatives of government converged to highlight the level of performance of the Federal government in this sector.

Babatunde Fashola added that the damages are regrettable because they are consuming the limited resources that could have been used to tackle other nagging issues facing the nation.
