Local media indicate that three people have been killed in a light aircraft crash in the Nasrec area in Johannesburg.
Emergency services have been deployed to the scene of the crash. Kyle van Reenen from Emer-G-Med said a pilot and two passengers were confirmed dead.
“On arrival on scene, the plane was found in ruins and three occupants were declared dead on arrival.”
Van Reenen said there were no other casualties. The South African Civil Aviation Authorities are expected to launch an investigation into the crash.
This is coming few hours after 72 people on board crashed in Nepal as confirmed by Sudarshan Bartaula,a spokesman for Yeti Airlines.
