The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in championing the empowerment of women and vulnerable segments of society through her initiative, Renewed Hope Initiative.
During a courtesy visit to the State House in Abuja, Governor Sanwo-Olu lauded the initiative’s contributions to the education sector, including the launch of the National Scholarship Programme, which saw 43 beneficiaries from across the nation. He also highlighted the Initiative’s women’s ICT training and empowerment programs in agriculture and social investment. These initiatives, he noted, align with the goals of the Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda and provide reassurance to the Nigerian populace.
“Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s dedication to the Renewed Hope Initiative, in collaboration with other First Ladies and the Vice President’s wife, is truly commendable. This endeavor complements the efforts of the President and reflects a focused approach towards improving education and providing support to vulnerable individuals,” stated Governor Sanwo-Olu.
Regarding the ongoing reforms led by President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasised that achieving a level of comfort for all Nigerians demands strategic decision-making and collective patience.
He urged citizens to continue supporting these efforts, acknowledging that although adjustments may be necessary, the anticipated positive outcomes will enhance the quality of life and foster economic growth.
