Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has approved a year-end bonus for street sweepers of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA). Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, the Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, announced the bonus, expressing the governor’s appreciation for the critical role played by the street sweepers in maintaining cleanliness in Lagos.

Gbadegesin emphasised the governor’s acknowledgment of the tireless efforts of street sweepers and waste handlers in ensuring a clean and healthy environment for the residents of Lagos. The year-end bonus is a gesture of gratitude for their dedication and commitment, especially during the festive season.

The bonus is expected to impact the lives of the recipients and their families, bringing joy and relief during the holiday season. The news was met with jubilation among the sanitation workforce, who expressed their appreciation for the governor’s gesture.
