‘Made In Lagos’ Ranks 2nd on Billboards Year-End Album Charts (News Central TV)

Nigerian superstar Wizkid has secured the number two spot on Billboards year-end album charts for his 2020 album ‘Made in Lagos’. The 18-tracked body of work has enjoyed global acceptance, making it one of the most successful music albums on billboards this year, right after multi-award winning South Korean boy band, BTS with their album ‘Proof’.

The Grammy-nominated album ‘Made in Lagos’ being the now 32year olds 4th official studio album broke multiple records including the record for the longest-charting African album on the world album chart.

Assisted by hit single ‘Essence’ featuring Nigerian songstress Tems and Canadian Platinum artist Justin Bieber, ‘Made in Lagos’ spent a record 100 weeks on Billboards World Album chart smashing Fela’s 45 weeks record with the album ‘The Black President’ 

Also in the top 10 list is African Giant Burna boy with his 2022 album, Love Damini securing the 9th spot. Nigerian Youngstar Ckay made it to the no.14 spot with his 2019 EP ‘Ckay the first’ thanks to his global hit single ‘Love Nwantiti’
