    A mass grave containing at least 65 bodies has been discovered in southwest Libya this week, as reported by the UN Migration Agency (IOM).

    The spokesperson for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) stated that Libyan security forces uncovered the mass grave.

    The IOM expressed profound shock and alarm at the discovery in a statement released. It also acknowledged the initiation of an investigation by Libyan authorities into the deaths.

    In its statement, the IOM emphasised the necessity of regular pathways that provide opportunities for legal migration, asserting that without such avenues, tragedies like this would continue to occur along migration routes.
