Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of Colonel Aloche Adole as the Chairman of the Christian Pilgrim Commission Board, NCPC.
The announcement was made through a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale. Additionally, the President approved the nomination of Dr. Stephen Adegbite as the Secretary of the Commission and Omowumi Olubunmi Ogunlola as a Member to represent the South West on the Board.
Other individuals appointed to the Christian Pilgrim Commission Board include:
- Clement Alobu Nweke, Member – South East
- Prince Weli Wosu, Member – South South
- Professor Joseph Haruna Mamman, Member – North West
- Dr. Toma Hamidu Ragnjiya, Member – North East
- Dr. Simon Abu Samson Dolly, Member – North Central
- Bishop Raphael Benjamin Nwankwo, Representative – Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)
President Tinubu urged the appointees to view their roles as an opportunity to serve the nation. The appointments are expected to contribute to the effective functioning of the Christian Pilgrim Commission, emphasising the significance of their responsibilities in promoting and facilitating Christian pilgrimages.
