Nigeria’s health agency has announced 390 new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease and one death.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, said that the new cases were reported from 20 states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
It said that the new cases of infections bring the total number of cases in the country to 69,645 with 1,181 deaths and 64,947 discharged.
The health agency reported one COVID-19-related death in the last 24 hours in the country.
The NCDC reports that Nigeria has so far tested 803,621 persons since the first confirmed case of the pandemic in country was announced.
The 390 new cases are reported from 20 states- FCT (89), Gombe (89), Kaduna (62), Lagos (35), Kwara (15), Borno (13), Nasarawa (10), Rivers (10), Bauchi (8), Ogun (8), Osun (7), Bayelsa (7), Kano (7), Edo (6), Taraba (6), Ekiti (5), Katsina (5), Akwa Ibom (4), Delta (3) and Sokoto (1).
The NCDC says a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
