On Friday, Ibrahim Musa Gusau was elected to lead the Nigeria Football Federation as its 40th president. At the NFF’s 78th Elective Congress, which was held in Benin, the capital of Edo State, Gusau was chosen as the next NFF President.

He received 21 votes, defeating his secret rival, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, who received 12. Shehu Dikko, the former chairman of the League Management Committee, received six votes for second place.

Other candidates decided against participating in a potential rerun even though Gusau did not receive the necessary 22 votes to win outright in the first round. Former board chairman Amaju Melvin Pinnick served in that capacity.

9.He is a safety and security officer with CAF

 10.He has been the NFF Chairman of Chairmen for 8 years.

Recall that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was granted a stay of execution by the Court of Appeal on Thursday in advance of the upcoming NFF electoral congress.

Meanwhile, the new NFF President is determined to run an inclusive administration, promising to also focus on players’ welfare.
