The House of Representatives seat for Kaduna North Federal Constituency has been won by Bello El-rufai, the governor of Kaduna State’s eldest son.
Samaila Suleiman, the incumbent member of the federal constituency and a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost to Bello, who ran on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bello Elrufa’i won the race with 51,052 votes, defeating the PDP candidate who received 34,808 votes, according to the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Muhammad Magaji, who also announced the results.
Aliyu Ahmad, the NNPP candidate, received 10,148 votes, while Shehu Feisal, the Labour Party candidate, received 7,531 votes.
