The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Ukrainian government have reaffirmed their commitment to advancing digital innovation through a strategic partnership.
Kashifu Inuwa, the Director-General of NITDA, recently welcomed the Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ivan Kholostenko, for a courtesy visit at NITDA’s headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting underscored both countries’ shared commitment to enhancing technological collaboration and innovation.
Discussions during the visit centred on strengthening cooperation in areas such as cybersecurity, e-governance, digital infrastructure, and capacity building.
Ambassador Kholostenko highlighted Ukraine’s eagerness to collaborate with Nigeria, particularly in leveraging Ukraine’s robust digital ecosystem to support the country’s digital transformation efforts.

This engagement aligns with NITDA’s Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP) for 2024-2027, which emphasises the importance of international cooperation in advancing Nigeria’s digital development. Through partnering with technologically advanced nations like Ukraine, Nigeria aims to improve governance efficiency, transparency, and public service delivery.
The collaboration is expected to foster groundbreaking initiatives, facilitating knowledge exchange and the implementation of cutting-edge digital solutions in Nigeria’s public sector.
This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening Nigeria’s digital economy and positioning the country as a leader in technological innovation across Africa.
