The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ondo State governorship election in Nigeria, Agboola Ajayi has named Festus Akingbaso as his running mate for the exercise.
Kennedy Peretei, the Publicity Secretary of the Ondo State chapter of the PDP, confirmed this development on Sunday evening.
Akingbaso, popularly known as Fessy West, is a member of the House of Representatives representing the Idanre/Ifedore Constituency. Previously, he served as a member of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
He hails from Idanre in the Idanre Local Government Area of the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
Akingbaso replaces Samuel Ogunmusi, whose name was initially submitted to INEC as a placeholder for the deputy governorship position.
