Former Imo State Governor and Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District, Rochas Okorocha was on Sunday arrested by the Police after forcefully entering a state property.
Okorocha was alleged of leading a violent break into the Royal Palm Spring Estate, Owerri, Southeast Nigeria with the State Commisioner of Police inviting him for questioning afterwards.
The Police said it got a distress call that an incursion was happening at the estate which had been hitherto sealed by the state government, only to find the leader of the gang was a former governor of the state.
Ijeoma Igboanusi and Lasbrey Okafor-Anyanwu were also arrested alongside Okorocha.
Igboanusi was the deputy chief of staff (Domestics) while Okafor-Anyanwu was the Commissioner for Transportation in Okorocha’s government.

It said the violent breakout led to Okorocha’s invitation to allow the Police listen to his side of the story.
A full investigation has been commenced into the incident to have a better idea of what transpired, according to a statement by the Imo State Police Command.
