Egypt’s Mohammed Salah Scores 20th PL Goal

Egyptian goal sensation Mohamed Salah scored his 20th Premier League goal of the season in Liverpool’s win against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Mohamed Salah’s second half penalty doubled Liverpool’s advantage after Luiz Diaz’s first; the Reds seeing out the remainder of the game with relative ease, to move within three points of City.

With this achievement, Salah now has a record of 20 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League; also becoming the 6th player to have ever done so in four or more seasons.

A good time for the Egyptian goal king to mark Liverpool’s 2000th Premier League goal.

Steven Gerrard is the only player in Liverpool’s history with more Premier League goal contributions than Mo Salah.

Eric Bailly Sits Out United’s Win Vs Tottenham

Ivory Coast’s Defender Eric Bailly was an unused substitute in United’s win against Tottenham at Old Stratford.

Of late the versatile defender is said to be unhappy that Harry Maguire is picked ahead of him, despite the Man United captain being out of form.

Bailly has only made 7 appearances this season and was on the bench for last week’s Derby.

Thomas Partey Brings the Party to The Emirates

Ghana Black Star’s Thomas Partey scored his second Premier League goal of the season in their 2-0 triumph over Leicester City on Sunday.

The Ghanaian who could have had a hattrick! Ran the game from deep and consistently won the ball high. An early Partey strike and a penalty from Alexandre Lacazette saw Mikel Arteta’s side regain fourth spot after United had occupied the position after beating Tottenham 3-2. The Gunners still have three games in hand over United as a point separates the two sides.

Thomas Partey sure deserves huge credit for his performances, especially this season. He was honest about himself and has massively improved. The confidence he has gained since a disappointing finish at the just concluded African Cup of Nations is just lovely to watch.

Salisu Reports a Bad Day in Office

Just five days after getting a step-up to Southampton’s first team training ahead of the visit to Newcastle United; Ghana’s Mohammed Salisu had a bad day in office yet again.

He had a shaky start to the game and made a complete mess of things when he undersold his back pass for the Watford opener. Hernandez broke the deadlock in the 14th minute, pouncing on a weak Salisu back-pass to goalkeeper Fraser Forster to slot home at the near post.

The game was Salisu’s second successive start for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side following his return from a short injury layoff.

Salisu’s mistake for Cucho’s opener in Southampton vs Watford means Brighton are now the only side yet to commit an error leading to an opposition goal in the Premier League this season.

Mali winger Moussa Djenepo, meanwhile, was completely missing from the matchday squad.

Watford With an African Line-Up Vs Southampton

Watford’s line-up featured three African stars, most notably Nigeria striker Emmanuel Dennis, who is the club’s top scorer so far this season, having netted nine times in the Premier League.

Morocco ace Imran Louza starred in midfield while Cote d’Ivoire defender Hassane Kamara played at left-back.

The Nigeria duo of William Troost-Ekong and Emmanuel Kalu made the bench, as did Morocco left-back Adam Masina and DR Congo midfielder Edo Kayembe
