Former Cameroon international Samuel Eto’o was on Sunday involved in a car accident while travelling in Douala.
The 39-year-old was returning from a wedding when a collision occurred with a bus which left the front his vehicle badly damaged.
But he was unhurt after being taken to a hospital and no injuries or deaths reported after the accident.
The driver responsible for the accident is also reported to have been apprehended by the police after initially attempting to abscond from the scene. But it is understood that Eto’o is not taking any legal action.
Eto’o is a two-time African Cup of Nations winner with Cameroon (2000 and 2002) and is the tournaments all-time top scorer with 18 goals.
