The government’s proposed law for the Egypt Digital Fund was adopted by the Senate on Sunday under the leadership of Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razaq.
The establishment and simplification of an electronic digital system is how the bill hopes to facilitate services and hasten the fulfillment of necessary procedures and services.
It also attempts to offer the technical assistance and organisational and administrative guidance essential to ensure the proposed fund’s success.
The bill aims to activate and promote digital society services, support and develop the digital transformation system’s mechanisms, develop them, and ensure their sustainability, as well as support the various state sectors in implementing pertinent plans and initiatives, raise awareness of digital services, and provide financial rewards and other financing options that let the state sectors deliver their services as effectively as possible.
The bill urges citizens to convert to digitisation for all of their transactions without any additional financial obligations in an effort to end digital illiteracy.
