Archeologists that excavated at “Tal El Deir” site in New Damietta city have found around 20 cemeteries from the late period of Ancient Egypt.
The discovery was announced by the country’s archaeological mission of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
In a statement, the Head of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri said that such unearthing is considered a significant scientific and archaeological discovery.
He added that the discovered cemeteries contain mud brick tombs and simple ancient pits.
