The Nigerian actress is not taking it lightly with those people who call on celebrities whenever the economy has issues. She vehemently warns social media users to stop calling on celebrities to protest against government activities
“It’s been a while but you see silence sometimes gives cretins the temerity to think that because the walls are down, goat fit climb house. Who are you pointing at to go fight for you? Celebrities koor, celebrities ni. What HAVE YOU DONE?? Have you been tear gassed before?”
Stating that the fight is not just meant for celebrities alone, she concludes that Nigerian citizens are not ready
“You type with your phalanges and raise a crooked finger pointing at another while you lay on your backside so that what??
We ALL have to get uncomfortable and NO, we are NOT ready. So stick your opinion where the sun don’t shine🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♀️..”
Kate Henshaw goes ahead to say Nigerians are hard to please, and when they need people to protest against celebrities, they call they celebrities, and either celebrities come through for them or not, they would still refer to them as “yeyebrities”
“It’s Celebrity, when you want someone to protest and die for you..
Its Yeyebrity when you don’t get either.
Your weed has expired!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”
The issue the actress was addressing was a general one, but it seemed as though she was speaking to someone specifically, as she also said she was going to be restricting someone off her page, noting that the person has had enough access to her page.
“Block coming… i have allowed you access to my grounds enough…”
She also stated that she was not going to give the person any room to trend by giving the person unnecessary relevance.
“🤣🤣🤣🤣 you are waiting for me to mention your handle so you trend?? Naaa…
Like i said, go and twerk or tiktok… thats what you are suited for…
When A, B or C are having a conversation, D yourself out…😅😅😅”
“I will not give you a platform on my TL.. do yourself a favour and unfollow me quick!! You know yourself….
It is true that familiarity breeds contempt!! 🤨🤨🤨”
Twitter went ballistic, as some of Kate Henshaw’s fans came to her defence.
“If they can channel that same energy of calling out celebrities towards the government, we for no dey where we dey now..
The aunty Kate I know, have always been outspoken 🙌🙌🙌”
“When trouble sleep yanga go wake am, wetin him dey find, palava e dey find, palava e go get o…🎼🎼🎵
The saving grace working for that nitwit is that you have decided not to mention name/handle..chai..we dey here dey wait am.”
“But this person is lucky you have decided not to expose him/her publicly, by now he or she would probably change handle..we dey here dey scout whether the person village people go push am..so we can add kerosene to the expired weed.”
“When you see people laugh at those who protested fuel subsidy in 2012, just know it’s a defence mechanism.
When you go to Total/Conoil to buy petrol, they won’t ask you if you protested in 2012 or not.
See ehn this pain go touch everybody.
A few stupid emojis won’t change that”
“That’s one difference between us and serious countries sha
Bad policies should be a rallying point for people to speak up as one- not fighting each other and widening the division among ourselves
But Na lie. We go dey drag each other and log out to still buy the petrol in pain”
