Sudan to receive aid from Saudi Arabia & United Arab Emirates

According to official statements, $500million will be deposited in the country’s Central Bank. The rest of the funding will be delivered in food

$3 billion in aid is on its way to help Sudan in its transition period following the ousting of former President, Omar al-Bashir. This was agreed upon by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

According to official statements, $500million will be deposited in the country’s Central Bank. The rest of the funding will be delivered in food, medicine and petroleum products.

Protests have however continued in Khartoum at the Defence Ministry over demands that the transition period is handled by civilians and not the military.
