Thirteen Ghanaians have arrived in London after covering 10,000-kilometres by car from Accra, Ghana.
The explorers deployed 5 vehicles: a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon), Toyota Land Cruiser 200 SUVs, Lexus RX and a Ford Raptor pickup truck. They made several stops to fill up their tanks and also repair their broken-down vehicles.
One of the adventurers Cyprian Wealth, while updating their followers on the X app wrote:
“Accra to London. Drive for digitalisation. 10,000km. The journey is the destination.”
Another traveller while in Spain spoke in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM:
“We are explorers and we are doing this for fun. We read about people driving from Europe to Ghana all the time, and we also planned to do it and we are almost there”.
They had initially estimated to arrive in London between August 6 (Sunday) or August 7 (Monday) 2023, after leaving their country on Sunday, July 22.
