President Bola Tinubu has commended the Nigerian military for successful operations against security threats in the North-West region of Nigeria.
In a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu noted that these victories highlight the capability of Nigeria’s security forces to maintain peace and safeguard the nation.
Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji recently neutralised notorious bandit leader Halilu Sububu, who had been terrorising residents in Zamfara, Sokoto, and surrounding areas of the North-West region. In another joint operation in Katsina, terrorist Sani Wala Burki was eliminated, while in Kaduna, security forces dismantled a terrorist hideout and rescued 13 kidnapped students.
These operations are part of the President’s directive for service chiefs to remain in the region until full stability is restored.
“President Tinubu commends the military high command, intelligence agencies, and troops for their bravery, coordination, and commitment, which have led to these commendable outcomes.
“He also praises the entire security apparatus for the improved security across the country and urges them to sustain their efforts until all threats are fully eradicated,” the statement added.
President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to supporting the nation’s security agencies in their efforts to protect citizens, stressing that ensuring the safety of Nigerians remains a top priority for his administration.
