Chisom Lennard, the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign coordinator in Nigeria’s Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, was killed by gunmen hours after being kidnapped.
When voting for the governorship and state House of Assembly elections took place at Ibagwa polling unit 2 ward 10 in Ahoada West LGA, Lennard was allegedly abducted by gunmen wearing police uniforms.
According to reports, the APC leader attempted to stop the gunmen from stealing electoral materials before being commando-style abducted. He was taken away during the voting procedure from his polling place, according to Nwauju.
Along the Ibueahi-Ubeta road in the Ahoada+West LGA of the state, late Lennard’s corpse was found covered in his own blood and covered in gunshot wounds.
During Rotimi Amaechi’s administration, the late APC leader served as a board member of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority and a land surveyor.
