The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially initiated its mid-season transfer window for the year 2024. The announcement was made through the league body’s official social media handle.
The transfer window commenced on January 10th, 2024, and is scheduled to conclude on January 31st, 2024. Clubs participating in the NPFL are encouraged to utilise this period to strengthen their squads for the remainder of the season.
With Matchday 18 fixtures scheduled for Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, teams have the opportunity to enhance their rosters during this transfer window.
As of now, Remo Stars hold the top position on the NPFL table with 32 points. They concluded the year 2023 at the summit of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) table, achieving a significant milestone as the league remains active at this stage of the year for the first time in over a decade.
The team’s remarkable feat extends beyond accumulating the most points; they have also secured the position of the highest-scoring team in the league this season. Sikiru Alimi, who shares the spot as the league’s top scorer, contributes to Remo Stars’ goal-scoring prowess.
This season’s strong performance by Remo Stars follows their second-place finish in the previous season, where they narrowly missed clinching the title. Daniel Ogunmodede, the coach of Remo Stars, expressed the team’s preparedness for the NPFL season from the outset, highlighting their commitment to a long-term project geared towards achieving success.
