The suspect in the death of Adeshina Olayinka, better known by her Instagram handle Khadi, who occurred at the Wetland Hotel in Akobo in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, is currently being held, according to the Oyo State Police Command.
Recall that the deceased passed away after the man she was staying with, in the hotel checked out early on Thursday morning, according to reports.
When the hotel’s administration called the suspect, he voluntarily surrendered. A patient’s transfer to a private facility led to the suspension of two state medical personnel by the Oyo Government.
One of the hotel employees claimed that the suspect didn’t think twice about turning himself in.
“So, we called the suspect to inform him about the incident. He was shocked and rushed down to the hotel to present himself to the police,” she said.
Speaking further, she told newsmen that the suspect told them that Khadi, the deceased complained about being weak the night they checked in.
“The lady was complaining that night that she was weak and that was why he just allowed her to rest,” she added.
